Refugee Action Network Partnership

Provo Bicycle Collective is proud to announce a newly-formed partnership with Refugee Action Network through which we hope to provide dozens of free bikes each year to refugees seeking to become self-sufficient in Utah Valley.

In its last year of work, Refugee Action Network has proven itself as an effective resource for refugees who have already spent some time in the US and seeking to become more self-sufficient.

Our partnership allows Refugee Action Network to recommend their clients to our shop for a free Goodwill Bike – donated bicycles refurbished by PBC volunteers.  In 2016, Bicycle Collective gave away 1,436 Goodwill Bikes throughout Utah.

Our hope is that their refugees will use these bikes to meet daily transportation needs; riding to work, shopping for groceries, and meeting appointments.

We’re always in need of willing volunteers to repair bikes for these refugees.  Interested volunteers can find out how to fix bikes with us at Bicyclecollective.org.  No experience is necessary.
