Heidi Goedhart

Heidi is originally from Idaho but transplanted to Salt Lake City ten years ago with her bicycle at her side. Since then, she has developed a passion for active transportation and its many environmental, economic and social benefits. Heidi has bachelors degrees in Environmental Studies and Urban Planning and a Master of City and Metropolitan Planning from the University of Utah with a specialization in Smart Growth and Transportation and a Graduate Certificate in Urban Design. She has been an active triathlete and road biker since high school and has recently picked up mountain biking. Four years ago, Heidi turned in her car keys and became a full-time bicycle commuter which has opened her eyes to the benefits and challenges active transportation users face. She aspires to help design and cultivate transportation options that support resilient urban environments that focus on health, activity and wellness. Heidi has been the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Bicycle Collective since 2012. She currently works for the Utah Department of Transportation as the Active Transportation Manager in the Planning Department.
